Did You Know? Saint Catherine of Siena

I want to say a special thanks to Kevin Knight with NewAdvent.org for being the first to share this video with his readers. If you don’t know his site, get out from under your rock, it is a fantastic resource for us Catholics and pretty much everything you can find in the Did You Know videos can also be found on his site.

Saint Catherine of Siena’s feast day is this Friday April 29th. Saint Catherine is most known for her miraculous visions of Our Lord, Our Lady and several other angels and saints, as well as her stigmata and firm disposition. Saint Catherine was a fantastic writer, and was well known even in her own day for her writing ability (although she dictated most of it, even though she knew how to write).

I’m really enjoying these Did You Know? videos and we have already scheduled 3 more:
- Our Lady of Fatima
- St. Joan of Arc
- St. Anthony of Padua

These three videos will join St. Catherine of Siena, St. Joseph and St. Bernadette Soubirous as the first 6 Did You Know videos. I hope that I will be able to continue with even more videos, but we are doing alot of exciting new things at work and DYK may be put on hold after these first six videos.
